SDM Akshita Gupta planted fruit trees with school children and distributed appreciation certificates to environmentalist
Nawanshahr/25 July/Daljeet Ajnoha (TTT) Social workers engaged in spreading the importance of International My Tree Day to everyone, today joined the district plantation program in collaboration with Go Green International Organization and made a joint appeal to everyone to plant trees and ensure their upkeep. In this district level program organized with the cooperation of the Education department and panchayat of village Barhwa, social workers who promoted voluntary plantation in the area were honored by SDM Akshita Gupta with appreciation certificates of Go Green International Organization. Among those honored were primary school headmaster Gurdial Singh, S.K.T. Plantation team’s Ankush Nijhawan, Raja Kainth from Rahon, Shubham Sarin from Hariyaval Punjab, Campus Director Dr. Avtar Chand Rana from KC Group, Harry Chauhan and Sahil Preet from Shri Krishna Youth Club, Captain Kanika Joshi, social worker G.S. Basiyala, famous cinema actor Jyoti Arora from Nawanshahr and Babar Karam Singh Memorial School Daulatpur representative were present. On this occasion, SDM Akshita Gupta also heard suggestions from Panchayat members regarding environmental protection and assured to solve the same. Environmentalist Ashwani Joshi praised the work being done by all of them for environmental protection and said that all of them are exemplary for the general public. On this occasion, District Education Officer Narinder Kaur while planting trees appealed that everyone should consider it their duty to take care of these plants like children. District Deputy Education Officer Varinder Kumar, Vishwas Seva Society President Parvinder Batra, Gurmel Chand, Sarpanch Raman Kumar along with village Panchayat, Gurpreet Kaur Chairman SMC were also present during the plantation and planted fruit trees.
