Sahibzada Baba Ajit Singh Public School Ladhewal(Mahilpur )organised a turban march dedicated to Miri Piri Diwas
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/July 17(TTT) Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Maharaj had taken up two swords as soon as he sat on the Gurta Gaddi, which is celebrated as Miri Piri Diwas in the Sikh sect. Today, a special turban march dedicated to this day was organised by Sahibzada Ajit Singh Public School Ladhewal Mahilpur under the leadership of Principal Rajwinder Kaur. School children participated in it with devotion and enthusiasm wearing beautiful turbans of different colours. On this occasion, Surinder Singh ‘Bhullewal Rathan’, member of SGPC and former MLA Garhshankar, specially participated and along with him Gurdwara Sahib’s manager Bhupinder Singh, Mota Singh J.E., Master Balveer Singh kaharapur reached . After the march, a special lecture was organized to create enthusiasm for turban among the children, in which Gurdeep Singh Chak Kataru (Nishkam Seva Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle) mentioned various historical references about turban and said that in order to maintain the existence of Sikhism in the present times, wearing turban along with getting higher level education is the biggest promotion of Sikhism. On this occasion, Principal Rajwinder Kaur thanked everyone and congratulated them on Miri Piri Day. Religious teacher Surinder Kaur conducted the stage. Madam Sandeep Kaur, Charanjit Kaur, Gurjit Kaur, Paramjit Kaur Daljinder Singh Harpreet Singh Parveen Kumar, Harjinder Singh, Simran Kaur, Jyoti Banga, Harjinder Kaur, Manjinder Kaur, Gurpreet Singh, etc. were present on this occasion.
