Pregabalin medicine should not be given from pharmacy without doctor’s permission – District Magistrate
Nawanshahr / Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.29(TTT) Pregabalin medicine should not be given from pharmacy without doctor’s permission – District Magistrateof approval of a competent doctor and for a specified period. He directed that a complete record of this medicine should be kept by the pharmacy.He said that the Civil Surgeon has informed through his office letter number Drugs / 2023/452 dated 24.8.2023 that Pregabalin is commonly used to treat patients suffering from diseases related to fibromyalgia / neuralgia etc. as prescribed by medical experts / psychiatrists /. But high doses of Pregabalin can be misused as a medicine. Therefore, Pregabalin medicine should be given by the pharmacy only on the basis of approval of a competent doctor and for a specified time. This order will remain in force till 25 December 2024.
