

Online training given to para legal volunteers
Hoshiarpur, 28 March:(TTT) District and Sessions Judge-Comm-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority was under the order of Dilbag Singh Johal. .. M-Com-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal conducted online training on making of Aadhar Card, Voter Card, Old Age Pension, PAN Card, Ration Card and Blue Card to Para Legal Volunteers working at District Level and Sub-division Level. This training was given by Pradeep Kumar, Data Entry Operator of the facility center with the cooperation of Deputy Commissioner. The main purpose of this training was to educate the villagers coming to the legal aid clinics opened in the village to create citation.
Also Secretary District Legal Services Akarti told para legal volunteers that front offices have been opened at district level and sub-divisional level groups of Punjab. Free legal assistance is provided by the authority under eight categories provided in the Authority of the Free Legal Services Authority Act,1987 if a person wants to file a case in the court regarding his problem,categories e.g. woman, child under 18 years of age, reference, natural disasters Like which-victims/earthquake/disabled, mentally ill, industrial workers, S. C. /S. T. , transgender and everyone whose annual income is less than 3 lakhs. A person who is provided free legal assistance by the authority, a lawyer who is appointed to proceed with his case, is paid by the authority for case fees, bail and witness costs and other futile costs. Along with this, providing stable information about NALSA (Legal Services for Persons with Mental Illness and Persons with Intellectual Disabilities) Scheme, 2024 and NALSA (Child Friendly Legal Services for Children) Scheme, 2024.
