
Aadhaar card related processes reviewed in Hoshiarpur district
Detailed training will be given to the staff related to Aadhaar card

Hoshiarpur, 24 March: India’s Unique Identity Authority (U. ਆਈ. D. ਏ. I) Deputy Director General I. ਏ. স. Officer Bhavna Garg met with Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and other relevant officials here today to review the Aadhaar card and new instructions issued in this regard.
Deputy Director General Bhavna Garg stressed that residents’ signature evidence and proof of address should be updated to further strengthen the Aadhar-related record. They said Aadhar card holders who have issued the card before 2015 should update their information through their nearest Aadhar Centre or https://uidai.gov.in They said that the facility of online update is completely free until June 14, 2025.
Talking about security aspects related to Aadhar, Bhavna Garg told Aadhar card holders to lock their biometrics online. They said that to ensure that the mobile number is registered to take advantage of various services related to Aadhaar through https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and the aadhaarmobil application. They said that correct names should be registered on the birth certificate. They said that special camps will be conducted by the district administration at hospitals, nursing homes, vaccination centers and Anganwadi centers for making Aadhar cards for children below the age of 5 years. They said that biometric should be updated compulsory when children turn 5 and 15 years of age. They said that if biometrics are not done on time, in these cases there is a risk of losing data when the child is 7 or 17 years old.
Bhavna Garg urging the district education officer to update Aadhar biometric in schools, said camps should be conducted on weekly basis for Aadhar update for children aged 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years. Accepting the demand of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Deputy Director General said that U. .. D. .. .. Related training sessions will be conducted to educate officers about Aadhar camps, regular review, visit Aadhar centers, completion of arrears, ensure biometrics and various mediums related to Aadhar. The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the residents of the district to take advantage of the facility of online Aadhar update.
