Lamrin Tech Skills University celebrated World Youth Skills Day !
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/July 16 (TTT) On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day on July 2024, Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab organized a Master Class for more than hundred faculty members and trainers along with deans and heads of different schools. World Youth Skills Day is a United Nations-designated observance celebrated annually to recognize and promote the importance of equipping young people with skills for entrepreneurship, employment and decent work. The theme for World Youth Skills Day 2024 was ‘Youth Skills for Peace and Development’.
Dr. Partap Sriram Sundar, Academic Director (MIGM, PLIIM), Adjunct Professor of Operations Management, Indian School of Business (ISB), a distinguished expert in the field of education enlightened the audience as Resource Person. Dr. Partap Sriram Sundar, elaborated techniques for making lessons more engaging and enriching for students besides providing valuable insights into various instructional materials that can be used for an effective teaching-learning process.
He highlighted the importance of identifying the strength of students for enhancing knowledge and skills and encouraged the participants to observe nature to get ideas for solving problems. He shared ideas for projects which may be worked upon and how the faculty can encourage students for divergent thinking. The concept of biomimicry was illustrated in a manner which motivated the participants to rethink and redesign their roles as educators.
Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab congratulated the faculty and students on this day and mentioned that the trainers should always skill, upskill and reskill themselves to be successful in this competitive world. Dr. Navneet Chopra, Dean Academic Affairs, LTSU apprised the participants about the significance of the day. On the same day, kits were distributed to the candidates undergoing training in PMKVY scheme.
