Lamrin Tech Skills University to host 70th Women Senior National Kabaddi Championship from 10th December to 13th December 2023

In the series of events, It will be another memorable day for the fraternity of Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab to host 70th Women Senior National Kabaddi championship at University Sports Complex ,LTSU Campus in Distt. SBS Nagar near Ropar Punjab , from 10th December to 13th December2023 . It will be organised by Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) in association with Amateur Kabaddi Association Punjab.
The First women” s National Kabaddi tournament was held in Kolkata in 1955. The 69th Women Senior National Kabaddi Championship was held at Mahendergah (Haryana) where host become the Champion and Himachal Pradesh was the runner- up there.
It is a matter of great pride and honour for Punjab that “The Kabaddi mother and popular game of Punjabi” famous worldwide is being hosted 1st time in Punjab and especially on the land of martyrs. It will boost the morale all Punjabi especially Kabaddi Lovers and players all over the globe.
There will be total 110 matches to be played in 8 pools during this championship. This championship will witness more than 30 teams from different states, UT and services all over India. About more than 350 players , 100 officials and judges across the nation including World Kabaddi Champions ,South Asian Games Medallist (SAF), Asian Games Medallist, Arjun Awardees ,and service department players and International Kabaddi Coach, Dronacharya Awardees , Para military Forces Coach, Sports Authority of India coaches will be present during the championship .This event will be organised league cum Knockout procedure”.
Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura Chancellor Lamrin Tech skills University Punjab and Advisor NSDC Govt of India shared the information that this championship will set the new platform for the youth of country in sports as we have also set the standard for the skills and technical educationin the university. By nurturing the players and bring them up to national and International level through providing conducive environment and facilities which they needed at par with international level.
Dr Kaura further revealed that S. Gurmeet Singh Hayer ( Meet Hayer) , Minister of Sports &Youth Services , Govt of Punjab will inaugurate the championship on 10 December 2023 at LTSU Punjab” s Sports Complex .
S. Sikander Singh Maluka Ex Cabinet Minister Punjab and President Kabaddi Association Punjab said with this championship Kabaddi game and Kabaddi players gets the desired new recognition.
