In light of the strike called by the DBA Roopnagar against the establishment of Gramin Nyayalayas, a meeting of
(TTT) the Executive Committee of the DBA Hoshiarpur was also convened. Te executive has unanimously resolved to support the call made by the DBA Roopnagar, as the matter is of great significance. The proposed Gramin Nyayalayas are likely to create procedural and practical complications, which may ultimately render the litigants and advocates at loss.
Therefore, the DBA Hoshiarpur has resolved to refrain from appearing in all courts — civil, criminal, family, revenue, consumer, and labour courts — until 1st October 2024.
All respected Bar members are humbly requested to demonstrate solidarity, in order to uphold the dignity and importance of our profession and to protect the interests of the public at large. Members, proxy counsels, or executive members are strictly prohibited from appearing in any case, including urgent matters, time-bound cases, or those related to action plans. Any willful violation of this resolution by any member may invite disciplinary action and fines.
Copies of this resolution have been sent to the respected Judicial and Revenue Officers, requesting their cooperation.
