Fresher’s Fiesta 2024: “Abhyudaya – The Rise” hosted
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.18 (TTT) The University School of Commerce & Management (USCM) hosted “Fresher’s Fiesta 2024: Abhyudaya – The Rise” to warmly welcome the new students at Lamrin Tech Skills University campus. The event was a lively blend of fun, bonding, and celebration, aimed at helping new students integrate into the campus community and build meaningful connections with their seniors.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Adviser to NSDC and NSDC International, Skill India International Mission, Government of India, and Chancellor of Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab. Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice-Chancellor of LTSU, also attended.
Dr. Kaura began by paying tribute to the late Mr. Ratan Tata, a business icon and visionary. He then delivered an inspiring welcome address, urging the new students to seize the opportunities ahead of them. As part of the ceremony, Dr. Kaura presented certificates to senior students for their outstanding achievements in co-curricular activities, recognizing their dedication and motivating the freshers to aim for excellence. He also extended his best wishes on the occasion of International Girls Day.
Under the guidance of Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dean of USCM, and Dr. Vikramjit Kaur, Deputy Dean of USCM, the event was filled with laughter and excitement as the new students participated in a range of activities, including singing, dancing, and games. “Abhyudaya” served as an effective icebreaker, fostering connections and encouraging students to build lasting relationships with their peers. The vibrant dance performances and interactive games were highlights, promoting camaraderie among the students. Singing sessions further enhanced the festive atmosphere, bringing everyone together in celebration.
A highlight of the evening was the glamorous ramp walk, where freshers showcased their elegance, style, and confidence, captivating the audience with their charm. The Question & Answer round revealed the wit and charisma of the new batch, making a lasting impression.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners of various titles. Mr. Kirtan (BBA 1st) and Ms. Shubhneet Kaur (MBA 1st) were crowned Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher, respectively. Other notable winners included Mr. Manraj Singh (BCA 1st) as Mr. Personality and Ms. Ekta (BCA 1st) as Ms. Charming, while Ms. Khushpreet Kaur (BCA 1st) and Mr. Rahul (MBA 1st) were awarded the titles of Ms. Photogenic and Mr. Photogenic. The Mr. Talent and Ms. Talent titles were won by Mr. Kirtan (BBA 1st) and Ms. Disha (BCA 1st), respectively.
The success of Fresher’s Fiesta 2024 was a testament to the hard work of the student organizers, who created an environment that encouraged friendship and collaboration.
