In compliance with the directions of the State Government to curb the menace of drug and to make the State Drug free, intensive efforts are being made to brake the supply of drugs and to cut short the demand of drugs in the districts of Border Range, Amritsar.
In the line of continuous action against Drugs/Illicit liquor under the zero tolerance
policy against drugs, Sh. Rakesh Kaushal, IPS, DIG/Border Range, Amritsar has directed SSsP of the Border Range districts to launch CASO Operations in their respective areas.Accordingly massive CASO Operations were carried out in the recent past in the 04 districts of Border Range, Amritsar i.e. Amritsar-Rural, Batala,Gurdaspur and Pathankot and,overwhelming results were achieved. SSPs have been directed to,conduct similar kind of operations in the future too. Lists of active Drug SmugglersPeddlers/Suppliers have been prepared which have been circulated to the districts with the direction to take strict action against these criminals as per law.
