Ban on flying drones without permission within the district

District Magistrate Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa has banned the flying of any kind of drone within the boundaries of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in order to stop the incidents of anti-social elements carrying out illegal activities with the help of drones in the border districts of state.
The District Magistrate, using the powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act-2 of 1974), has imposed a complete ban on the operation of drones without permission at weddings/religious functions and other programs within the district limits. These orders will remain in force till July 9, 2024.
