On this occasion, Mayor Shri Surinder Kumar ji said that Mission War Against Drugs, by being a part of the government’s campaign, we can contribute significantly to save the heirs of Punjab.
On this occasion, Nisha Rani Manager District Nasha Mukti Murvseba Kendra Hoshiarpur said that according to World Health Organization drug addiction is a mental illness, treatment of which is given free in government health institutions. They provided detailed information about the causes, symptoms and illnesses that accompany it. On this occasion Prashant Adya Counsellor District Drug Mukti Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur said that the treatment of drug addiction is done free of charge in District Hoshiarpur at Drug Mukti Kendra Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur and Dasoha. In which the patient is first detoxified for 15 to 21 days. After this the patient is admitted to Government Rehabilitation Center Mohalla Fatehgarh Hoshiarpur for 90 days, where individual counselling, group counselling, spiritual counselling as well as sports, and therapy are proceeded. They said that in addition to drug addiction treatment, certified skill development courses are also offered to help patients get back on their feet. They said that the treatment of drug addiction is made free of charge by the Health and Family Welfare Department Punjab, if a patient comes for treatment then the drug mukti center is committed to fully cure him. They said we need to be aware today. If we will be aware ourselves, then only we will be able to aware other people in the society.
