Important arrangements to be made regarding heat protection – SDM

Dr. Aksita Gupta, IAS A meeting was held by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Nawanshahr with the Senior Medical Officers, BDPOJ, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar of Sub Division Nawanshahr.
In the meeting Sub Divisional Magistrate, Nawanshahr informed that Heat Wave Season 2024 has started. Therefore, according to Action Plan 2024, instructions were issued by various departments to make the general public aware and make necessary arrangements to get relief from the heat. She further informed that District Education Officer and CDPO,s will make special arrangements at their level to protect school/anganwadi children from heat. On the occasion, the senior medical officers were ordered to provide the necessary medicines in the hospital for the care of the patients suffering from heat. She appealed to general public from going out of their homes without any work between 12 noon and 3 Pm.
