Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) Punjab celebrated 1st Anniversary of PM Vishwakarma Scheme
Hoshiarpur/Sept.21 ( GBC UPDATE ):-Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, SBS Nagar, marked a significant milestone as it celebrated the first anniversary of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme on September 20, 2024. The event commemorated a year of empowering traditional artisans and craftspeople through skill development and fostering economic growth under this visionary initiative. LTSU Punjab also took part virtually with some selected institutions of India in the PM Vishwakarma Scheme event which was held in Wardha, Maharashtra .
Prominent dignitaries present at this event included Sh. Mohinder Singh Mann GMDIC SBS Nagar, Sh. Gurmeet Kaler, Block Development Panchayat Officer, Sh. Harmesh Lal, LDM, SBS Nagar, Sh. Gurmeet Singh, Assistant Director, NSTI Ludhiana, Dr. Rajiv Mahajan Registrar and Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor LTSU.
Certificates were awarded to the candidates who recently completed the PM Vishwakarma training in Tailor, hairdresser, carpenter and mason trades.
Shri Mohinder Singh Mann, in his keynote address, emphasized the vital role of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in transforming the lives of artisans and craftspeople. He further engaged with candidates to answer their queries and provide insight into the opportunities offered by the scheme.
Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor of Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab congratulated the Vishwakarmas on this special occasion. She highlighted the continuous commitment of university for upskilling and reskilling for better employment opportunities. She highlighted that university has transformed the lives of 5000 plus beneficiaries through this scheme in Scheme.
