*Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/August 16(TTT) Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal is reviewing every problem related to common people daily and issuing guidelines to the concerned department for its immediate resolution. In this episode, taking cognizance of the problem of drinking water in Mohalla Bhim Nagar, he instructed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to solve it immediately.

Commissioner Municipal Corporation said that the tubewell supplying drinking water in Bhim Nagar had to be closed in the first week of June due to sandy water, on which immediate action was taken by the Municipal Corporation to re-bore the tubewell in place of the failed tubewell and at present the work of re-boring is in progress. She said that the re-boring work will be completed by September 10. At present, 5-6 tankers of drinking water are being supplied to the general public by the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur. Similarly, on the issue of tubewell malfunction in Mohalla Sundar Nagar, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner said that the motor of the tubewell of Sundar Nagar had malfunctioned on the night of 12th August, due to which there was a disruption in the water supply, which was immediately repaired and started on the night of 13th August. At present, the water supply in Mohalla Sundar Nagar is going on smoothly.When the Deputy Commissioner sought information from the Drainage Department regarding giving illegal route to the crusher drivers through the forest, Axis Drainage informed that the route which is in the Panchayat land of Gram Panchayat Rampur Bilron has been leased to the concerned crusher owner by the Gram Panchayat for 33 years. She informed that this area is the property of Gram Panchayat Rampur Bilron. She informed that it has been confirmed by the Forest Range Officer, Garhshankar that the concerned crusher owner has carried out mining activities only on the crusher installed in Himachal Pradesh. No mining of any kind is being carried out by them in the areas falling under PLIA 1900 on the Punjab side under Forest Range Officer, Garhshankar.Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal instructed the officers of all the departments of the district to immediately remove the shortcomings related to their department and ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience.
