Independence Day Celebrations at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 26(TTT) Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab celebrated the 78th Independence Day of the nation with great enthusiasm. The event was marked by the hoisting of the tricolour by Chief Guest Dr.Sandeep Singh Kaura, Advisor to NSDCI & Chancellor of Lamrin Tech Skills University. The university’s security team presented a salute to the national flag and the gathering joined in the singing of the national anthem.

The celebration featured vibrant performances by students, including patriotic songs, poems, speeches and traditional dances like bhangra and giddha. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura extended his heartfelt wishes for Independence Day. He emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, who gave their lives for the country’s freedom. He urged everyone to celebrate this national festival with full enthusiasm and to remind the youth of the long and arduous struggle that secured our independence. Dr. Kaura highlighted that India, with its large youth population, has a unique advantage. He expressed confidence that skill education can propel India to become a global superpower and address the global skill shortage. Lamrin Tech Skills University, established in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab, in collaboration with industry leaders like IBM, ANSYS and Tata Technologies is committed to make India the skill capital of the world by empowering its youth.

The event also saw the presence of Vice-Chancellor Dr. A.S. Chawla, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parvinder Kaur and Registrar Prof. Rajiv Mahajan, who joined in congratulating everyone on the occasion. Newly joined students of session 2024-2025, along with the parents from various states of India were also a part of the celebration. The university staff, students and officials all came together to celebrate the 78th Independence Day, making it a memorable and patriotic event.
