A notable plantation event took place at the Deputy Commissioner Office in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar
Nawanshahr /6 August /Daljeet Ajnoha (TTT) In alignment with the directives of the dxChief Minister, Shri Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab state government has embarked on an ambitious mission to plant and celebrate Punjab Hariyali diwas. Today, under the leadership of ADC General Shri Rajiv Verma, a notable plantation event took place at the Deputy Commissioner Office in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. The event saw the participation of various district officials, including SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta and SDM Balachaur Shri Ravinder Bansal , Nawanshahr Halqa incharge Lalit Mohan Pathak , Banga halqa incharge kuljit Sarhal , Chairman Planning Board Satnam Singh Jalalpur.
ADC Shri Rajiv Verma emphasised the critical importance of tree plantation, particularly during the monsoon season. He encouraged every resident of the district to actively participate in planting trees and contributing to environmental conservation. Each government department has been tasked not only with planting trees but also ensuring their maintenance and growth.
This initiative is part of the larger effort by the Punjab state government to enhance green cover and promote sustainable environmental practices across the region.
