Hoshiarpur/July 15/Daljeet Ajnoha (TTT) Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa said that all the Municipal Improvement Trusts of the state have been strengthened by the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and residential and commercial properties have been auctioned through e-auction of the vacant lands of the trust for years. With this effort of the government, while people have got property at reasonable prices, the income of the trust has also increased. He was addressing the journalists after giving allotment letters to 16 successful bidders during the e-auction at the office of Nagar Sudhar Trust Hoshiarpur today. During this, Chairman Nagar Sudhar Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh, Mayor Surinder Kumar were also present with him. On this occasion, he distributed saplings to all the bidders and motivated them to contribute to environmental protection.
The Cabinet Minister said that e-auction was started under the leadership of Chairman Nagar Sudhar Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh to sell residential and commercial properties in a transparent manner. He informed that during the successful bidding from 20 February 2024 to 22 February 2024, properties worth about Rs 3 crore of the trust were sold, which has increased the income of the trust.
Bram Shankar Jimpa said that as a gift to the city residents, a residential scheme of 7.73 acres Rajiv Gandhi Avenue is being established in the coming days, which has been approved by the Punjab Government. In this, modern facilities, clean water, sewerage, open roads and street lights will be arranged. Apart from this, new parks are being developed. Residential plants of the schemes will be allotted through draw at government rate (reserved price). This is a golden opportunity for the general public to become the owner of the plants through draw. He said that take maximum advantage of the schemes of the Punjab Government.
Chairman Nagar Sudhar Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh said that during the successful bidding held from 20 February 2024 to 22 February 2024, Scheme No. 11 S. Successful bidding was done for 8 shops in Kartar Singh Sarabha Market, 6 SCOs in Scheme Number 10 Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar and 2 residential plots in Scheme Number 11 Sant Harchand Singh Longowal. He said that in the upcoming residential scheme Rajiv Gandhi Avenue, there will be 34 plots of 4-4 marla, 64 plants of 6 marla and 36 plants of 8 marla. He said that 4 parks will be built here.
